Alimah Ustadhah Omyma Tariq

Ustadha is a distinguished Islamic scholar, educator, and life coach with over 20 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, has completed the esteemed six-year Dars-e-Nizami curriculum, and specializes in Taleem wa Tarbiyyah (تخصص فی التعلیم و التربیہ), including Aqeedah (تخصص فی العقاعد).

Alhamdulillah, Ustadah has also studied and recited four Qirā’āt from the Sab‘ah and ‘Asharah Qirā’āt — namely the recitations of Imam Ḥafṣ, Imam Shu‘bah, Imam Qālūn, and Imam Warsh (رحمہم اللہ ) — along with their narrations (riwāyāt), principles (uṣūl), and detailed applications (furū‘) under the guidance of her esteemed teacher.

In addition, she has also learned and reviewed the principles of Qirā’āt from Imam Qunbul and Imam Bazzī (رحمہم اللہ ) from her respected teacher.

These Qirā’āt are founded upon strong scholarly principles, and Ustadah’s dedication to learning them is a clear reflection of her hard work, commitment, and deep love for the science of Qirā’āt.

Her extensive teaching experience spans various age groups, showcasing her dedication to nurturing Islamic knowledge and values. Alongside her responsibilities in academic management and teaching, Ustadha enjoys spending her free time reading books, exploring new research, and writing articles and poetry. She actively engages in various intellectual and scholarly activities, which further enrich her academic insight and enhance her teaching approach.

Ustadhah’s educational journey has been profoundly influenced by prominent scholars, including Mufti Taqi Usmani (Damat Barkatuhumul Aliya)—who made dua for our institute—and her mentor and Shaykh, Shaykh Dr. Mufti Rashid Ahmad Alvi (Damat Barkatuhumul Aliya), whose guidance continues to inspire her work and has significantly shaped her academic and spiritual foundation. She also draws inspiration from one of her teachers, Maulana Ilyas Ghuman (Damat Barkatuhumul Aliya)Through her unwavering commitment to Islamic education, leadership, and spiritual mentoring, Ustadhah has made Sunnah Circle a beacon of knowledge, spirituality, and community service.

As the founder of Sunnah Circle, she has established a platform that integrates traditional and contemporary approaches to holistic Islamic education. In addition, she conducts transformative spiritual guidance (Islahi Tarbiyah) sessions to help individuals refine their character and deepen their connection with Allah. 

Her mission is to cultivate spiritual, moral, and intellectual growth, empowering individuals to make positive contributions to society. In her journey of service to the Deen, Ustadhah has worked with various local organizations, organizing impactful Islamic programs and workshops. She has devoted her life to the cause of Islamic education, often prioritizing it over personal pursuits, such as further academic studies.
